Questions

Straight answers.

Plans, privacy, Windows Defender, refunds, quarantine and uninstalling.

What am I paying for?

The tested Windows installer, new versions as they are released and email support, for the length of the plan you choose.

Do I need an account or a licence key?

Neither. After payment you receive a download link by email, and that is all.

What happens when my plan ends?

Digital Guard keeps working and keeps updating its signatures. Only new versions and email support stop.

Can I get a refund?

You can normally cancel a distance purchase within 14 days. For digital content that right ends once the download starts, provided you asked for immediate access when ordering. If the software is faulty or not as described, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply. The Terms of sale explain more.

Is it safe to use?

We make no claim of certification or of catching every threat. Download the installer only from the link we send you, and check its SHA-256 fingerprint.

Does it collect my data?

There is no telemetry, no account and no advertising. Scans, quarantine, logs and settings stay on your PC. Signature updates contact the ClamAV servers run by Cisco Talos, which receive your IP address and software version.

Can I run it next to Windows Defender?

Digital Guard does not claim to replace Windows Defender, so keep your existing protection on. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every setup, and two scanners together can use more resources.

What are the behaviour rules?

YARA rules that flag techniques seen in suspicious scripts and programs. They are not an AI model reading your files and they cannot prove where a file came from. They can produce false positives.

How do I restore a file from quarantine?

Open quarantine, select the file and choose Restore. First be sure it is a false alarm and the file is safe. If in doubt, leave it set aside.

How do I uninstall it?

Open Windows Settings, go to Apps, find Digital Guard and choose Uninstall. Check quarantined files first if you want to keep any.
